Chief Investment Officer

Stephen Luongo is the Chief Investment Officer of AIR Asset Management. He leads the portfolio management team and oversees the firm’s investment strategy and risk management practices. He plays a key role in developing and executing strategic initiatives, launching new investment products, and engaging directly with investors. Mr. Luongo is the vice chair of the Executive Committee and the Investment Committee.

Mr. Luongo brings over 40 years of experience in banking, treasury, capital markets, and portfolio management. Prior to joining AIR Asset Management, he served as Managing Director at Peregrine Asset Management, where he oversaw multi-advisor hedge funds and managed one of the industry's first mutual funds focused on managed futures.

Previously, he was a Managing Partner at Columbus Global Advisors, L.L.C., a registered commodity trading advisor and commodity pool operator. Earlier in his career, Mr. Luongo gained deep banking and capital markets expertise as Vice President of Capital Markets at a Banque Paribas subsidiary, Crédit du Nord, where he co-managed a $1 billion interest rate derivatives portfolio. He began his financial career as a corporate lending officer at the Central National Bank of New York, serving middle-market clients.

Mr. Luongo holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Hobart and William Smith Colleges and maintains Series 3 and 30 registrations.
