Senior Advisor

Bobby Whalen is Senior Advisor for AIR Asset Management and supports the firm's strategic leadership initiatives and business development efforts. Mr. Whalen has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. He is a member of the Leadership Committee. Most recently, he was the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Atlys Group, a diversified business group that engages in disaster recovery, pandemic solutions, and private equity. Before Atlys, Mr. Whalen was the President and Chief Executive Officer for W Venture Group. This investment advisory drives business growth by leveraging a global financial services network, private equity, and real estate companies. Mr. Whalen began his career at American Express and held many positions there, including Financial Advisor, Field Vice President, and Group Vice President. In his final role as Group VP, he led over 600 financial advisors and staff and over $14 Billion in assets under management. Additionally, Mr. Whalen was responsible for the rebranding and successfully launching Ameriprise Financial Services, the fifth-largest initial public offering in business history at the time. In 2005, he was awarded the "American Express Outstanding Leader of the Year" award. He earned a Bachelor of Arts B.A. in Finance and Management from Merrimack College and completed the Executive Management Program at Harvard University.
